NEO 8000e Combines Enterprise Class Data Availability, Increased Performance, and Simplified Connectivity for Long Term Investment Protection. July 22, 2010 – Overland Storage, the trusted global provider of effortless data management and data protection solutions across the data lifecycle, today announced a new addition to its popular NEO E Series product line: the NEO 8000e, a tape library solution specifically designed for large, data intensive businesses. Built on Overland’s patented, award winning NEO architecture, the NEO 8000e supports LTO-5 technology and enables companies to dynamically adjust storage capacity and performance as needs change without requiring additional hardware. While providing the affordability typically associated with midrange solutions, NEO 8000e delivers enterprise class features including expansion for up to 3 Petabytes of storage capacity, high performance transfer rates up to 24TB/hr, and high availability features necessary for backup and archiving of mission critical data. “We use the Overland NEO 8000 and NEO 4100 to back up approximately 100 Terabytes of data.
