Overland Storage Nominated as Finalists for Four Awards at The Storries VIII

London – May 19, 2011 – Overland Storage (NASDAQ: OVRL), the trusted global provider of effortless data management and data protection solutions across the data lifecycle, has been nominated as finalists for four awards at the 2011 Storage Magazine Awards (Storries VIII). With products from its range of SAN, NAS and Tape Library solutions all nominated, the awards demonstrate how businesses of all sizes are relying on Overland to solve their data management and protection challenges.

The nominations are as follows:

  • Value for Money Award – SnapServer S1000

SnapSAN S1000 is a 2U 12-drive modular SAN solution that delivers highly available storage services for business critical applications that require superior performance.

  • Storage Solution of the year – Overland / 101 Data Solutions – Wyke Farm Cheese

Wyke Farm, the UK’s largest independent cheese producer and milk processor, uses Overland disk-based storage solutions to help protect their headquarters. It is currently using SnapServer NAS storage from Overland to store and manage all data generated from twenty high-definition CCTV cameras.

  • Network Attached Storage (NAS) Product of the Year – SnapServer N2000

SnapServer N2000 is a block-and-file-level NAS or SAN package aimed at virtualised environments.

  • Tape Based Product of the Year – NEO 2000E Tape Library

NEO 2000E is a scalable, multi-modular product that accommodates business growth with configurations starting at 12TB and scaling up to 90TB within a single 5U module.
